Our Mission

The mission of the Peekskill Arts Alliance is to promote and serve the vibrant and diverse arts community in Peekskill and the Hudson Valley.

The PAA:

  • Presents arts events
  • Fosters collaboration among artists, businesses, regional partner, and the public
  • Educates and engages new audiences
  • Identifies sources of funding
  • Raises public awareness, appreciation and recognition of the value of arts in the community

Who May Join?

Any artist, "non-artist" or business may join the PAA. The table below describe artist and non-artist membership options.

Artist member benefits

  • Participate in "Members-only" events, such as Open Studios and the Holiday Boutique
  • Receive exclusive invitations to display artwork at select venues in downtown Peekskill
  • Listing on the Peekskill Arts Alliance website
  • Advance notification of Artist Opportunities
  • Plus Members - for an additional fee, PLUS members are provided with an online gallery where they can upload images of their work and provide biograhical and other information

Business member benefits

  • Acknowledgement as a supporting business on the Peekskill Arts Alliance website
  • Access to an individual webpage where you can promote your business, display your logo and provide a link to your own website

Membership options

This table details the membership options that are available. All fees are for a 1-year period and are not automatically re-billed.

Artist - Basic Your name is listed on the PAA website $25
Artist - PLUS Your own gallery page containing up to 12 images as well as space biographical information and a place to post your upcoming events $65
Business Your logo and link on the PAA website $125
Friend Receive updates on news and events and join us for pot-luck dinners and other networking events $100

Where your fees go

Your membership dues are essential to the Peekskill Arts Alliance's mission of raising awareness of the value of the arts to our community. Dues are devoted to the creation and distribution of promotional materials for our events. Your dues are also used to cover the administrative costs of applying for grants, maintaining our website, membership and event management.

The "people part" of organizing events such as Open Studios relies completely on the time contributed by volunteer members, including the Board of Directors.
